In the latest Facebook Live, we broke down our Program Type Filters feature and how to best utilize it for sales prospecting for timely events such as the upcoming National Football League season set to begin later this year.
First, select Share Report, choose a market, and a media selection filter such as Television and Cable. Choose your date range and make sure to select the Program button located under the Television/Cable Filters – you are then able to see all of the different types of programs that we monitor.
Programs range from specific sports such as Boxing to Documentaries – the list goes on and on. Media Monitors does this so that it is easy for customers to identify specific niches. Select your program and move it over to the left box. Click the go button to run the report. Know that you have the availability to run various reports at the same time and will receive an email notification once each report is complete.
After your report is finished running, you will have an alphabetized list by account name of the different advertisers that aired spots during that date range. Data is available to sort accordingly – whether it be by instances or estimated ad spend. Organize by category at the top to see how advertisers ranked.
The Program Type Filters feature can also be used for seasonal reports. An upcoming holiday or allergy season can lead to a spike in specific advertisers such as local restaurants promoting a special for the day or pharmaceuticals.
Data is available within an hour to 90 minutes in real time – and is operated 24/7, 365 days a year. There is no limit on the number of reports you can run, although reports older than 2 years will get “deferred” and become available to access within a few hours or the next day.
